Secret Mission - Satellite Data Retrieval

(Use Keifer Sutherland’s voice here) – “Previously on Secret Mission Blog post”: AL – “YOU”RE DOING IT WRONG! LET ME DO IT!” AM – “NO I’M NOT! LET GO OF ME!” Smack, push, scream, yelp, teeth gritting wrestle-mania, Supreme Commander steps in and separates them and talks them down. For the next part of the mission I wanted to make sure Agent Mongoose (AM) used his computer skills for something other than propelling a fat Italian guy through a series of obstacles using tools no one has in the real world. Enter the satellite charged jump drive. Being a veteran of two of three tech industry events a year I have several jump drive (USB flash drives to the layperson) and decided to put the next set of mission instructions on it so AM would have to use the computer. The instructions from the travel agency were to meet with the SC and go over where the next clue was located (in my yard). The travel agency brochure had a letter that was a clue (ok it was a clue for 10 year old kids,

Secret Mission Briefing and Agents Never Run Day Two

The next secret mission was well set up as I will give myself a pat on the back on this one. I found out Agents Mongoose and Linoleum were scheduled to visit the bay area (from Papa Agent) and that Papa Agent had not told them yet. So he and I planned to set up this visit as a secret mission. Oh yeah. BTW this was a four day mission so this post will cover the mission assignment thru day one. Nice set up –eh? The mission instructions told them to talk to Papa Agent and Mama Agent (known as Field Lieutenant of Personnel Omega – FLOPO an

I have a lot of half baked material and by consensus I was asked to detail my bright idea of engaging my two nephews as secret agents. It was simple idea that grew complex. Since I am not parent I have the advantage of acting like one when the mood strikes. So I can then have a good, great, or not good experience and universally apply this the term of parenthood. I have been told by my friends who are parents that this gives the impression I talk out of my ass. They’re right. Previously I have mentioned my two nephews. Currently they are both on suspension from their covert operations career. Suspension runs out on October 31, 2009. They are 12 and 10 years old. The idea was simple. Create a well executed covert operation (secret mission – more on secrecy later) for my nephews when they were in town to try t
